The single monikered Vanessa is hotter than a jalapeno milkshake. At least she was in Hollyworld's Golden Age, the 2020's. She died tragically young, and under mysterious circumstances, in the year 2032.

The Vanessa who currently burns up the screens is a genetic clone of the original, commissioned and owned outright by Mexicali Studios. Or perhaps she's the "exotic" Vanessa, who performs in Mexicali's "adult" fare. Or maybe it's one of the "escort" Vanessas the studio keeps on hand for visiting V.I.P.s. Or it could be one of the low grade Black Market Vanessas floating around Hollyworld.

It gets confusing. Especially for poor Vanessa herself. Or selves.

When Lyle Monroe is assigned to her case by Mexicali, he finds that she's as fragile and vulnerable in life as she is confident and voluptuous on screen. Lyle's always been a sucker for a hard luck case.

But this one will cost him big, and not just his job.
