Marina Ujlaki, manager of Shop One in 1959, had fled from Russia with her brother, the artist, Nicholas deStahl. They lived for a time in Paris before she came to this country. Enthusiastic about art and the crafts, she enjoyed working in the atmosphere at Shop One. When she and her husband left Rochester they lived in New York City for a period of time and she worked at a fine crafts shop there. She continues her interest in the arts, in music and in crafts in San Francisco where she is now living.
